PEAK AIRSPORTS TASTER COURSES

The whole idea of the taster day is to learn how to prepare for, and then experience, free flight!

The whole idea of the taster day is to learn how to prepare for, and then experience, free flight!

The Basics

First, you will learn the basic safety aspects and theory of flight, before spending the day making launches, practice landings and using the Paraglider controls, all under the expert eye of Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) Mark Bosher himself.

Advancing

If the conditions allow, you will make some short flights or ‘crow-hops’ down a gentle training slope. Most people achieve ten proper flights or more with us and often wish to go on to the Elementary Course asap. By the end of the day you will be tired but happy, having achieved a good degree of competency and confidence on the wing that you probably thought wasn’t possible at the beginning of your day.

Please Note!

Potential students: If you haven’t already contacted us, we suggest you make contact now to book in on courses as places are taken up early and are limited. As with our tandem flights, we do not offer gift vouchers but rather, book the course and pay on the day.

Important safety notice

Paragliding is a form of aviation with inherent and potential dangers that are involved with any form of aviation.

There is always some level of risk, and injuries and deaths do occur in our sport, even to trained pilots using proper equipment.

Whilst Peak Airsports endeavours to minimise this risk as far as is reasonably practicable, it cannot be eliminated altogether. No one should participate in paragliding who does not recognise and wish to personally assume liability and the associated risks.

Please note

Sometimes in the summer months, Mark is out training until late in the evening and does not answer his phone while teaching or flying.

This means the best time to call is between 7-9 pm. On days when flying is not possible (windy/raining) then normal office hours should be fine.

Please do not call or text after 9pm!
