There is always some level of risk, and injuries and deaths do occur in our sport, even to trained pilots using certified and modern equipment.
Whilst Peak Airsports endeavours to minimise this risk as far as is reasonably practicable, it cannot be eliminated altogether. No one should participate in paragliding without fully understanding the risks that are involved.
Individuals undertaking our courses must assume full responsibility and liability for those risks.

In order to learn to paraglide you first enrol on one of the courses with Peak Airsports. You then join the BHPA which is done as part of the administration steps when we first meet.
This provides you with the necessary third-party liability Insurance. No instructor should teach you without this membership and subsequently as you progress to flying independently on club sites, those clubs and its members will not permit flying without suitable insurance and BHPA membership.
