Chief Flying Instructor
Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) of Peak Airsports, Mark Bosher is one of the most experienced and qualified Instructors in the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA) and sport aviation in the UK.
He is a Senior Paragliding Instructor (hill & tow) and fully Licensed Tandem instructor/pilot with the BHPA. He is also a FLPA (Foot launched Powered Aircraft) Senior Power Instructor on hang gliders and an experienced pilot on Para-motors.
Marks childhood dream was flying like a bird unencumbered by power. His passion for the sky started with parachuting in the late 1980′s, before pursuing a flying career in 1991. He has flown light aircraft, Helicopters and sailplanes/gliders for five years, before settling on his true passion; paragliding, hang gliding and paramotor.
He has accumulated over three and a half thousand flying hours and over thirty years of skill, knowledge and experience, in both flying and teaching people to fly. This also includes building up a huge amount of experience on the local geography and weather conditions that are so important to free flying.
Mark is also actively involved with the committees of the two largest paragliding and hang gliding clubs in the Peak District and as such is able to give students clear advice on progression after training has been completed.

- Peak Airsports is inspected and monitored by The British Hang gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA) for the safety and quality of the training and equipment. It is worth noting that not all schools in the UK are BHPA registered’ so do check as it may have important consequences for safety and insurance.

- Aftercare: our aftercare service is second to none. Once you qualify you will be offered the opportunity to continue to fly with us free of charge if you wish to build up more confidence/experience.
- Flying holidays: as a valued client/student of Peak Airsports you will have receive priority invitations on any flying trips being planned in the UK or abroad.

Peak Airsports’ flying training is conducted in the heart of The Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. The flying sites are within easy reach of major centres such as Manchester, Stoke, Rotherham, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Nottingham and Derby, to name a few.
Our office is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, close to the Peak District where we also have a shop, paragliding simulator and classroom for theory and exam work.
There are excellent transport links in and around the Peak District and Chesterfield, including rail and bus services, ensuring that you will not have a problem getting around whatever your means of transport.

The area is a great holiday location, with its natural beauty and multitude of activities (in addition to paragliding and hang gliding).
With climbing, mountain biking, hill walking and large underground caverns to explore! This makes the Peak District Park a great place to play and fly!
