The professional Paragliding & Hang Gliding School based in the heart of the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. With several of the best and most beautiful flying sites in the UK, just minutes away from our base in the Peaks. We are ideally situated for anyone wanting to learn to fly or wishing to fly tandem. Peak Airsports is only one of a few schools in the UK that offer both tandem Hang gliding or paragliding within the Peak Park. Tandem is a superb trial flight to have or a great gift idea for someone special in your life. It is an amazing experiance bar none, guaranteed!
Peak Airsports is a British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA) Registered School.
All BHPA schools are monitored for safety and the quality of the training they offer and the equipment they use. Also the trained instructors are licensed by the Association. When you see the BHPA Registered School mark, you can be confident that you are getting the best free flight training available in the world today, why trust anyone else?
At Peak Airsports we are committed to teaching Paragliding and Hang Gliding to the highest levels, with low student to Instructor ratios (usually 2 to 1).
This means very progressive learning with safety as the main priority, not profit. In this time critical world we live in, good communication between the school and the student means if the weather is not suitable for training (once you are booked in), you are informed at the earliest possible time. This saves your time and fuel expenses and minimises unsuitable days training to the weather (strong winds and / or rain).

Peak Airsports is chosen by the BBC!
Mark takes 'Ben Fogel' from the BBC's 'Country Tracks' programme on a Tandem Paraglider flight in the Peak District! Ben was really good and liked it so much we went for a second flight! The programme is due to be televised on BBC 1 at 11am on Sunday the 17th of May. Ben loved every second and was great fun to fly with and the team from the BBC did a very professional job of filming the whole thing.

Peak Airsports would also like to welcome budding new Paragliding students; Lisa G, Nick P and Jakob B. Also Hang glider students; Sean and Damian, both showing great promise and who are really keen and were so pleased with the professional tuition and progress, they signed up for the Elementary and Club Pilot novice courses in one go. Thanks guys and here's to a speedy, but thorough qualification and becoming two great pilots in your sport of Hang gliding, game on!

Well done and congratulations to Lisa G for passing her paragliding EPC in record time and Owen D, Ian B, John K (see below) and George V for Passing their paragliding Club Pilot courses and moving smoothly on to the club environment. Also congratulations to Sean B for passing his Hang gliding Club Pilot course and Damian H for passing his Hang gliding Elementary Pilot course, well done guys!. Most had three or four hours soaring under their belt before passing the final tasks and they loved every minute of it. I wish you all the very best in your new found sports and looking forward to seeing you out on the hills, getting high on getting high and remember, I'm always on the end of a phone for advice and support:-)Mark.

Mark would also like to congratulate Luke for being the youngest Paraglider student to qualify to date, just two weeks after his sixteenth birthday he has become a Club Pilot in paragliding. Well done Luke and all the best for your new sport of Paragliding
With the latest reasonable weather, Mark has also completed some mid-week Tandem flights on the Hang glider and Paraglider and given the passengers a taste of what it's like to fly like a bird in the beautiful Peak District and take some great pictures and video of their flights (for free).
